“I had a blast as a guest on the show! It was liking to catching up with old girlfriends! Military Mom Talk Radio is relevant, fun and most of all relatable to the audience. It’s just the kind of show we need to bring us the people and issues happening in our military community. Thanks Sandra for such a great experience!”
Lori Bell, Founder/President National Association of Military Moms and Spouses
“Thank you for the opportunity to introduce my work, “Sweeps,” on the Military Moms radio show. I am honored that you allowed me to honor the “iron men aboard wooden ships” who served in Vietnam, in particular, those whose Operation End Sweep twenty-hour days in seas and harbors known to be seeded with sophisticated mines did so in the knowledge that American POWs would soon be released because of their efforts.God bless you and your fine work.”
And From Our Listeners. . .
Military Mom Talk Radio is a fantastic “One Stop Shop” of information on subjects particularly focused on Military Mom’s. Sandra Beck [has] created a “kitchen table” atmosphere that invites women to learn and share important information that supports themselves as well as their military spouses and family members. This forum a super idea as women love to talk so talk radio is a natural!! Their guests cover a wide range of topics and expertise, all focused on Military Families.
Hearing that others have the same questions, issues and challenges is of real assistance; however the show doesn’t stop there as it moves to solutions. Sandra and Tina find out what’s available, where and how to navigate, keeping spouses and parents informed who are out of the loop caring for the family and the family member, especially those who reside outside a military installation and may have little or no access to this important information. Military Mom Talk Radio platform provides a excellent forum for listeners to find real information that can be emailed or downloaded at any time, 24-7 around the world.
Military Mom Talk Radio is also great for providing family members a means to be made aware of assistance programs and support capabilities that the service member may not be aware of at their units. The spouse/family member can then inform the service member of this information and have it addressed by their chain-of-command to ensure all are aware of these support capabilities.
Tuning into Military Mom Talk Radio is fun, easy and informative. I highly recommend it.

/ July 23, 2010Sandra,
I was very glad to find your site and think that you and your team are doing a wonderful, valuable job providing entertaining and informative content to your audience.
It’s fun to see your guest list as I know and have worked with Elaine, Jacey and Andi.
I want to offer you our financial experts here at USAA as possible guests on your show – perhaps in a recurring role. June Walbert and J.J. Montanaro are certified financial planners with military backgrounds – June is still serving in the Army Reserves and J.J. (a West Point grad) recently retired. They have both deployed and can not only talk the talk, but walk the walk.
If you are interested, please feel free to call me at 210.913.5054 or send me an email at john.hancock@usaa.com.
I wish you and your show the best of luck and urge to keep going!

This book turns the traditional notion of parenthood on its head; shifting the epicenter from a linear, parent-to-child relationship, to a mutual, circular, parent-with-child, relationship. In this new paradigm, the focus of the parenting dynamic is not so much on the spiritual and emotional development of the child, as it is of the parent. Here, the child is recognized not only as the emotional receiver of its parent’s psychological and spiritual legacy, but as the usher of its parent’s psychological and spiritual transcendence. Shefali Tsabary, Ph.D., received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University, New York. Dr. Shefali was exposed to Eastern mindfulness at an early age and integrates its teachings with Western psychology. It is this blend of East and West that allows her to reach a wide audience around the world. Her ability to appeal to both a psychologically astute audience and a consciousness-driven one, marks her as one of a kind.
Dr. Shefali has worked with a varied demographic; from survivors of the Tsunami to women from a third-world country; from inner city youth to suburban families; from the elderly and infirm, to corporate leaders. In addition, she has lectured extensively on Mindful Living and Conscious Parenting around the world. She currently has a private practice in New York where she works with clients across the spectrum. Her first book, “It’s a Mom: What you should know about the early years of motherhood” was released by Penguin and debuted on the Indian bestseller list for four weeks. This is her second book.
