  • What People Are Saying About Military Mom Talk Radio

"Buck Stienke and I were honored to be on Military Moms Talk Radio show last week. Wow! What a dedicated bunch of wonderful (and witty) ladies. We're proud to be a part of and associated with a group like Military Moms in support of and dedicated to our armed forces, both past and present. Oorah!" - Ken Farmer and Buck Stienke Co-Authors of the Black Eagle Force series. "Appearing on Military Mom Talk Radio was a fantastic experience. Sandra and her team were wonderful to work with. Programs such as this one are so important because they cut through the hype and sensationalism and offer real military families a chance to address the general public about the realities of military life. All too often, the media focus is on the hardships of military life, so it's refreshing to have an outlet like Military Mom Talk Radio where guests can share not only the challenges of military life, but also the rewards. Less than one percent of our citizens serve in the Armed Forces. Understandably, there's a huge military/civilian divide. With our country involved in two wars, we can all benefit from more programming featuring the stories of real military families." - Andi Hurley

Military families are our nation's treasure. Yet, spread around the world, they are not always aware of the great support they have here at home. Marathon To Raise Funds for Veterans – USVetsInc.org

I am Olly Kay. I am 29 years old. I commissioned out of The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in April 2006 and joined 1st Battalion, The Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment (Armoured Tigers). The PWRR is the finest Infantry regiment in the British Army and I was honoured and proud to serve alongside such professional soldiers. When I moved out to Paderborn in Germany, I was a Platoon Commander for 2 years and then became Second in Command (XO) of A Company whilst out on Operation TELIC 13 in Basra, Iraq. I returned from Iraq in April 2009. I resigned my commission and left The British Army on August 1, 2009.

I moved to the USA on 4th August 2009. I spent a year at California State University Northridge before transferring to University Of California Los Angeles where I am studying Arabic. I am a Cadet in the UCLA Bruin Battalion ROTC (Reserve Officers Training Corps). I completed BCT (Basic Combat Training) in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri this summer and am currently enlisted in the US ARMY Reserves with 3rd Platoon, 350th Engineer Company (MAC) based in Bell, California.

Once I graduate in 2013 I am aiming to rejoin Active Duty Infantry.
I ran the LA Marathon earlier this year in 4hrs 2mins and raised over $6,500 for US Veterans. In March 2011 I am aiming to raise $10,000 and hopefully run in 3hrs 30mins.

I am very grateful for your support. I feel it is important to raise money for Veterans in need. I feel that running the LA Marathon 2011 is a small way I can give back to those who have served as I am currently serving.

Please pass this website around so with your generosity and support you can help me reach my target.
I would like to thank those at US Vets for their fantastic support during the last LA Marathon, my family & friends back in the UK & in the US for their continued support.

Many Thanks, Olly
